Bringing Music, Movement, and Heart: Spotlight on Ms. Nehara

Ms. Nehara brings music, movement, and heart into the classrooms at Wayland Montessori.

Dance and singing are a natural part of Ms. Nehara's presence with children. As a former performer in Sri Lanka, she brings rhythm and joy into the classroom in ways that feel engaging and meaningful. Children respond to her energy with confidence, focus, and enthusiasm for learning.

Ms. Nehara has been part of the Wayland Montessori community for nearly five years. After spending three years with the center, she returned to Sri Lanka before finding her way back two years ago. Her return felt like a homecoming. Many families and teachers describe her as the heart of the school, bringing warmth, passion, and connection into each day.

Her role at Wayland Montessori is both professional and personal. Ms. Nehara is also a parent, with two daughters enrolled at the school. This perspective strengthens her relationships with families and deepens her understanding of the care and trust parents place in our teaching team.
