Celebrating Our Native Wildflower Garden and Monarch Butterfly Journey

A Blooming Moment for Our Children and Community

At Wayland Montessori, our children planted the native wildflower garden with care and attention, laying the groundwork for a future full of blooms. The native wildflower garden has become a vibrant space filled with blooms and buzzing pollinators, all thanks to their care and curiosity.

Supporting Pollinators in Every Petal

Designed as a habitat for pollinators, especially Monarch butterflies, our garden teaches children about nature's cycles and the vital role these creatures play. The garden invites daily exploration, offering endless opportunities for observation and wonder.

Families Build Birdhouses to Grow Our Garden

During our celebration, families came together to build wooden birdhouses. These additions bring warmth to our garden and deepen our connection to this shared space. Each birdhouse now stands as a symbol of the care and creativity within our community.

Looking Ahead: Monarch Butterfly Guardian Program

Our garden is just the beginning. Soon, we'll welcome a Monarch butterfly naturalist who will guide us toward becoming official Monarch Butterfly Guardians. This next step reflects our ongoing commitment to environmental learning.
