Reptile and Amphibian Show March 11
Our students are preparing for a hands-on adventure as part of our upcoming Reptile and Amphibian Show on March 11. This in-house field trip will bring learning to life as a reptile specialist introduces children to a variety of fascinating creatures including gentle snakes, curious turtles, and colorful frogs.
Leading up to the day, our teaching team is helping children learn about these creatures' habitats, behaviors, and adaptations. Using puzzle maps, students are discovering how geography connects to the animal world by linking continents, climates, and ecosystems with the reptiles and amphibians they will meet in person.
The event aligns with Wayland Montessori's approach to experiential learning, where curiosity and hands-on exploration spark deep understanding. Children will observe, ask questions, and even touch some of the animals, developing both courage and respect for living things.
We are looking forward to an unforgettable day of discovery.
